Lets do some maths now that we know this well has only 5 metres of potential pay zone, more wells to come I know but I'm only talking about this one.
Assumptions
5 metres interval
30 hectare (300,000 square meters)
5% (0.05) porosity
2000 psi formation pressure
14 psi normalised pressure
36 cubic feet per cubic metre
$5 per 1000 cubic feet
Calculation
5 * 300,000 * .05 * (2000 / 14 ) * 36 = 385,714,285 cubic feet of gas
or
$1,928,571
Now I might have to go and stand in the corner with my dunces hat on, but until my remedial maths class starts I'm bl@@dy glad I sold on Friday.
