You said this because you don't own a house. But house owners & normal families will say a dfferent thing. Banks exist to facilitate depository & everyday banking/business transaction. How do you get your forthnigtly salary or received your government handouts? The answer is the banks. Unless you get paid cash on hand labour on hourly rate & don't have a bank account like some illegal immigrands do.
