Thanks for everyone reporting on the meeting, OOO, Erinnie et al.

PE is dear to my heart, nothing to loose.

    OOO
"Cath dropped the surprise bombshell that a couple of weeks ago the Government decided it was all too hard to prosecute the issue with COP and handballed it back to FAR. So the ball is now in our court to initiate proceedings against COP."

"Cath left PE by observing that FAR retains 15 per cent of a massive asset irrespective of the outcome. "We have nothing to lose and everything to gain." That, to me, sounds like arbitration at 40 paces, although Cath again observed that other options are possible. "We are remaining firm and considering what action we might take against COP."

    Erinnie

FAR will be chasing their PE rights through the courts, as they have nothing to lose and it will cost them $1.0M and take 12 months, with the decision binding on all parties. COP have completely disregarded, with total contempt Senegal government's instruction and FAR have now been given the green light by the government to pursue their case through the courts, if they desire to do so and they are going to!!! The sale has not been approved by the government and this has been relayed to FAR. WPL is concerned about the outcome as was expressed to me by FAR and they would certainly like this matter to be put to bed.

I hope you guys are right. Music to my ears.
I just can't wait to see that announcement that FAR is taking COP to arbitration.
Apart form anything else it offends my sensibilities that COP should treat FAR or any company as reported.
Seems like FAR was given the go ahead by the Govt only a couple of weeks ago. Hope they were just wanting to get the AGM over!
Oh I pray that they take COP to arbitration, no deals, nothing to lose.

    50% or 15% minus $1m!!! Petrosen????

And as for the "third party", WPL.
Who is the bystander, preparing to take "Operatorship" as announced by WPL.
And confirmed to FAR that the Govt has not approved the deal and given FAR approval to go to arbitration.
That sounds a hell of a lot like the Govt is signaling it's wishes.
    FAR is the vehicle!
Who is the pressure on really. Who has everything to lose.
I don't expect a move from WPL as I believe that they are snookered.
    Not their "back yard".
I'm sticking to my theory, nothing to dispel it yet.
Believe that it is time to pull the trigger!

Seeing that announcement taking dispute to arbitration would just make my day!
    Life member,
    Pom pom brigade.
