I just can’t get over how close the gold is to surface. When you look at some other company’s announcements it’s not unusual to see intercepts reported from 170m+ That’s a lot of overburden and that = expense to get the gold out of the ground.
I’m not trying to tell people how to suck eggs but if you’re new to reading assay results don’t get too excited about the highlighted results on the first page of the ann. Head straight to appendix one where all the detail is. This gives you the true story. Have a read of this article to understand how highlighted results can skew average grades
http://www.geologyforinvestors.com/...-critical-look-at-interpreting-drill-results/
But I digress, back to BRB. Have a look at the shallow intercepts reported today and over the last six months:
BBRC0142 – 24m @ 7.75 g/t including 18m @ 10.15 g/t (announced 24th Jan 2017) from just 9m. Yes 9m! Gees that has got to be a strip ratio of less than 1:1 !
To get a real feel for this project, go back and print off the ann’s from last October and read the full results in appendix 1.
BBDD0011 a good result of 3 g/t over 5m from ~40m
I have to keep reminding myself two things:
- Until late last year all the drilling was only reconnaissance in nature. Resource drilling only commenced about six months ago.
- that “ … the diamond drilling is focused on structural orientation, validation and obtaining samples for preliminary metallurgical testwork.” Imagine what could be in the results when Tom puts down a targeted hole?
Tom has always been adamant that the gold will continue at depth. These results appear to vindicate his profession opinion. Have a look at some of these results:
BBDD0010 – A 300m diamond hole that returned hits at depth of 7.07 g/t over 5m from 244 – 249.3m including:
4.3m @ 8.56 g/t,
3.8m @ 9.29 g/t,
1.8m @ 15.54 g/t, and
1.2m @ 19.92 g/t
“ … deeper intersections in BBDD0010 for example, a step-out hole, are particularly
Important as they highlight new laminated sulphide-rich lodes that are “floating in space” at depth with no surrounding drilling.” This is sounding mighty similar to the rhetoric around the AC and RC reconnaissance drilling from a year back. So we can expect the same with the deeper holes!
And this from today’s ann:
One metre results are pending for all composite samples. So have a look at
BBRC0297 that intersected gold over 28m from 40 – 68m returning 6.01 g/t including:
8m from 48 – 56m @ 14.07 g/t. That will be interesting to see what 1m splits reveal!
Forgive my excitement but I remember a comment Tom made in Sydney last month that he would be happy with 6m Oz resource … does that mean there is potential for it to be bigger … I bet there is! Those guys from the ASX who made him retract a comment related to a tier one discovery last year must be feeling pretty stupid now because it certainly looks like that! Queue the eggs ..!
Get ready for all-time highs.
Presenting this morning at 11:40 on the Gold Coast.
Gtg and watch the action as market is now open J
Have a great day all!
