The Federal Law Search portal has been updated.

Last night, at 6.58pm, an Interlocutory Application was filed by the Lead Claimant (Matthew Hall), with Supporting Affidavit.

In lodging this application, it's clear that the portal has been updated in real time meaning that no defence nor any crossclaims have yet been filed or served by SGH despite originally being required to do so by 27/4, before this was then extended to 26/5. If they had, then confirmation of this would be showing in the portal.

Quite likely then, the Interlocutory Application will have something to do with SGH's failure to date to file is defence /crossclaims. Likely also, the Interlocutory Application will be heard on Friday, at or prior to the case management conference being held.

So far, SGH have had since 2/12/16 in which to develop and then file their defence. Granted, the original due date was by 27/4, but this was known as early as from 2/12 onwards. By Friday, therefore, they will have had 6 months in which to arrange /organise their defence /crossclaims. This now makes Friday potentially very interesting. So, yet more twists and turns with SGH still very much in the "danger zone" and with the SFA still kicking on (not yet retired). More deadlines. Shorter times. Sharper focus. A more strident bull and a struggling opponent (if perceptions count for anything).
