The numbers of buyers v's sellers can indicate interest but doesn't necessarily dictate SP. If 20 buyers with 20,ooo units @ 70c and 20 sellers with 20,000 units @ 72c. SP may be 71c. If you want to buy you can place an order for say 18,000 @72 and you will buy. You haven't entered the buy line but the SP may rise from 71c to 72c but the number of buyers may not have changed. The number of sellers will be less but all depends on the rate other buyers and sellers are entering or leaving the auction.
