The directors of Molopo Australia NL wish to advise that the
non-renounceable pro-rata rights issue Prospectus dated 4th December
2002 has closed.

The Prospectus was for an issue of 122,480,622 options expiring 30
June 2007 exercisable at 10 cents issued at $0.004 per option.

Molopo shareholders subscribed for 39,957,255 options with the
balance of 82,523,367 options being taken up by the Underwriter
pursuant to the underwriting agreement.

A total of 122,480,622 options will be allotted to applicants on the
company's share register on 31 st January 2003.
