thanks for the kind words showmethe$$$, but geez, I don't think there is any easy answer. Even after all these years I still get heaps wrong....actually more than I care to admit. I don't think there is any substitute for experience or any one technique. But I think it is important to study both TA and FA and work out over time and through many mistakes what works.....and no two situations are ever exactly the same. Also, as much as I love HC and find it an extremely useful tool, you need to be able to block out the noise from the crowd here and listen to your own gut. Being a moderator has helped drive that lesson home to me. Time and again over the years I have had to wade into a crap fight on various stock threads where a pack of blinded bulls are going hammer and tong at some poor little lone bear. So convinced are the bulls that they are the ones who are right that they come to believe they are fighting a holy war against the heretic. I can see how it would be sooooo easy to fall in and follow the crowd. But guess what.....9 times out of 10 it is the poor little bear who is fighting to be heard and to have his good name cleared of a hundred insinuations and accusations who ends up being right. I think that experience has taught me the value of being the contrarian and thinking for myself and trusting no one but myself.
