I need some help. Can't connect following the advice at

I can log on OK. The connect arrow changes from red to yellow, but I don't see anything at all - not the lights at night that were mentioned.
How long do you enthusiastic people have to wait after pressing the red connect button? I have a download speed of 1.5 Mbps. That should be more than adequate for streaming video. Unfortunately nothing but a black screen.
