The first of the Ventura sidetrack drilling (budgeted for two sidetrack drills) is now due within the next 7 days (based on the previous release). IMO expect to see LPL firming into this result, although a larger SP risk margin will apply this time around.
A good result at Ventura will set-up LPL nicely for other ventures. For management, the downside of another duster may jeopardise the vote at the general meeting, so they would want to be reasonable sure of a pay-off before putting this one to shareholders at the end of the month. My guess is they wouldn't go to the trouble unless they had reasonable confidence in Ventura (as a bad result could undermine the whole Solimar deal).
