For the life of me I can't imagine a "deal" as such being done.
If there was something big that was about to be announced, ABN AMRO would have underwritten the rights issue, but after discussions with VCR they declined.
In my opinion there is no chance of a takeover, as there isn't a company in the industry that would pay $100m let alone $500m+ for VCR's technology, which if it isn't outdated now, it soon will be.
The only possible BIG announcement in the short term would be the death of a patient.
Most other near term announcements will relate to further implants being done, and we all know that they are coming, sooner or later.
