Wesfarmers have quality people and a quality corporate culture with a history of changing with the times. I would not be too pessimistic about their future in the face of new competitive threats. If a lack of corporate edifices are any guide, then like Berkshire Hathaway, Wesfarmers has a small, lean and unobtrusive head office.
