Had an interesting alert come through overnight about Genex Power, will try summarise as best I can here.

The alert came from about an update on the webpage RenewableEconomy:

And had the title:

"Financial adviser mandated for Kidston solar phase II"

My alert also had a snippet from the article, but not the whole article:

"Holihan told IJGlobal that Genex Power will also work with Societe Generale on the deal, as it did in the project's first 50MW phase. However, Genex..."

The article has now been taken down from the RenewableEconomy website, the handle was this:

Holihan is an executive associate at Genex ( a relatively young guy who seems to be studying at Harvard as well as working for Genex - guessing he is doing Harvard Extension (online distance learning)).

On the IJGlobal page we see that in March Genex started to seek funding for stage 2 solar:

So my guess is that we will receive an update on Monday about this given it seems that we have sorted out some details regarding the financing arrangement on stage 2 Kidston Solar. The reason it was pulled down is it was probably deemed information that should have been released to the market before being released to a Project financing journal...
