    Good move Watso.

I'm like you with computers, certainally no guru.

I used to have a 2nd phone line into the house for the internet.I have recently gone to broadband & been able to do away with the 2nd line which saved that cost, plus the dialup cost each time I connected, plus monthly internet provider fee, so the overall cost is about the same.

Broadband is heaps better. The only disadvantage is if you travel with a laptop, you cannot dial in to a local outlet & connect, like I could in the past.

There are some startup costs in that you have to purchase a hight speed modem & if you are like me you will have to pay your provider to send a tech.to set it all up ( Although it is possible for the computer literate to do it themselves )
I may be wrong, but with 3 computers networked I think you can have them all on line at once doing seperate things which means you can be on H/C & other menbers of the family can be doing their thing at the same time.

    Hope this helps
