Therein lies the problem, as negative ideologies form fear-based stereotypical assumptions and vice versa. Don't get me wrong though, I do see where you're coming from and have my concerns as well. After all, we are only human. But the information and statistics don't justify me labelling every Muslim as a terrorist. I distinguish between Muslims and extremists the same way I distinguish between Catholics and members of the IRA. Was it wrong to use the same reasoning for the latter? Did all Catholics share the same agenda as the IRA? No. Did all Irishmen turn out to be terrorists? No.
