Yes it is true they will not need such a specialized rig as GDY. So if the cost of a conventional rig is more like, say $20m and it costs $10 million to drill a hole like this, it doesnt sound like you would need to drill too many for it to pay for itself. I'm no expert on the drilling business however - perhaps the main cost drivers are outside the capex? What is the good reason and is it still relevant in the current environment of extremely high demand for rigs?
