Hi Mantalec,
I am a holder of NFL, bought in the float and topped up at 66 cents.
The Singapore plants currently under construction look very good due to the beneficial tax status, basically they are a licence to print money in my view.
When buying in the float I didn't do as much research as I should have and I have since found some negative views on biofeuls, ie farmland being taken away from food producing to produce feedstock, OPEC's view, etc but there are also some positives, ie less reliance on mineral diesel, GM soybeans that produce 10% more oil, etc.
One thing I have noticed when researching before my topping up is that there are a lot of biodiesel plants popping up all over the place but very, very few of them produce biodiesel in quantities greater than 100mta. This is one area where NFL differentiates itself from the majority, the scale of it's operations.
Another area is that the location of it's plants are in easy access to the major shipping channels. This helps them in terms of access to supply of feedstock and gives them more selling options for the finished product.
As for when NFL will see profits, I am still of the view that once the Singapore plants are online and producing at, or close to, capacity they will start making a profit.
