Some very interesting insights from CEO Paterson's interview on the CardioCel 3D patch which is a revolutionary, history making product as no other patch of its kind currently exists giving Admedus a monopoly...

"Nobody has been able to produce this kind of product in the competitive space that we operate in and the reasons for that is that ADAPT gives the bovine tissue certain abilities once it's been treated in terms of the manufacturing process that enables us to mould this product from a flat piece of tissue into a curved patch..... curved is for that, it's for aortic arch repair.... so it is unique, we've been able to transfer that manufacturing process so that we can produce this thing at scale... so we can bring this out reliably by the hundreds, by the thousands is really critical."

"We've started a few use cases, we've had a couple of the biggest reference hospitals in the world in the children's space have started to use it pre-launch we're just getting some user experience and feedback to make sure that we're doing these things in the right way...."

Is there a big market for it?

"There is a big market for it and as we're discovering from the surgeons using it and trialing it that they're coming up with even more indications that what we had planned for originally so I think there's a lot there I want to be cautiously optimistic about our prospects here but it is unique and we've found the demand as soon as we've spoken to people and become aware of it they've become very excited so we want to make sure we're doing this the right way and make sure we're collecting the right data so that we have many many years of market growth there but also more importantly that the patients are getting the product used in the right way."
