It's pretty simple - you just sum up very briefly what was written in the email. No need to copy and paste the email. Just sum up at least loosely what the news was.
For example, just say - "I heard through the grapevine that..this will flow because of XXXX"
or "I heard through the grapevine that....this reservoir contains 700 trillion barrels of oil"
