I am very happy with Steph being appointed as CEO for the next 2 years - I have met her twice - my impressions are that she is commercially sharp and knows not to stray into explaining the science other than its relevance to the commercial potential & outcomes.I think it is quite a result to get the pair - Hayes as full time CSO at this juncture is big. The combination is potent - one focussed on financials, strategy, IR, company management & the other is an international standard CSO who will be focussed on a delivery program at a critical time. Very complimentary set. We have had 2 scientists lead the company in recent memory and they have both also lead the science. There has been merit at times to this but in hindsight I can't describe it as successful. Steph's CV is of someone being groomed to be a CEO candidate in a large business - we are probably fortunate to have got her before that occurred. The $5m that came in should be enough of a testimony that someone thinks its a good idea too - they would surely have known about it.
