Both CR8 and BRN are in the AI/Machine learning space, and the only two Im aware about in the spec end of the market. So they do make interesting peers and comparisons.
Just applying your logic to both CR8 and BRN:
Valuation:
- CR8: $8.8M EV
- BRN: $69M EV

Revenue:
- CR8 in its first two quarters of operation have made over twice the revenue of BRN. $470k vs $220k respectively.

Cash Burn:
- CR8 as you mention need about another $1.2M to BE. You are incorrect in saying the company is worth 10times cash in bank. It is actually worth 2X cash in bank lols. BRN is actually worth almost 10times cash in bank.
- BRN need $1.6M to BE

Deals:
- CR8 have paid trials with 4 Fortune100's, AMP, Metlife
- BRN not a single Fortune500. Paid trials with government corps, Casinos.

Cash:
- Here BRN poses and advantage by having more quarters of cash to fund itself into 2018. Where as I expect CR8 to have another CR in Q1 2018 unless it can bump up its revenue and/or cut down on R&D costs.

But in summary I think CR8 poses are a far superior risk vs reward than BRN at these levels. Its only peer BRN is trading 10X its cash, 313X times half a year of revenue.
Vs CR8 trading 2X its cash and 19X half a year of revenue yet CR8 trades almost 1/10th of the value of BRN.

I'm still realistic about this company and know its not perfect and there are issues.
I think the biggest issue with CR8 is just how badly the register has been destroyed by brokers going bust or just loose handed brokers. Otsana needs to contact a reliable fund...one which they haven't allocated to in GMV, CR8, SVT, DTZ which clearly have gone rogue to back this company.
Another issue is the uncertainty factor of the product being "the real deal" which will remain until one of the F100 takes it to the next stage.

Really nice work here. You're right, there's risks, but the upside to CR8 is unparalleled in the AI space on the ASX
