na - have to disagree on this ---------------- price gaps are important - on the daily chart.
TA'ers ALWAYS talk about gaps filling - yes, there is no logic and no there is no real reason - but, it becomes self fulfilling - AND IMO - management should be very aware of this and with announcements like today - which could or could not be put out - it's not a continuous disclosure thing - we are due for EOY and then 2 major financial reports -
this would have been neither hear nor there if it was 9.30 or 11.30 -- today or tomorrow or indeed - not at all.
I don't like the gap business at all - but, lets face facts here - time and time and time again we have seen this over the years with AJX (and other stocks) -
like it or lump it -- people believe gaps will fill - and then it is self fulfilling.
If you can control your announcements so there is no gap on the DAILY - then, you DO make a difference.
gaps on smaller timeframes are of no or little consequence - but, the daily is very different.
that's just the way it is.
