How does one get "memorised?"
Now, there was once a chap called Mesmer and he used to "mesmerise" people in an effort to cure them from... stuff. He used to make them stand in front of a filled bath tub and he used to walk into the room (darkened usually) from the opposite direction, stand opposite the patient and make the bothersome flow from the patient through the tub to him by transmigration of thought, concentrated on the... stuff.
