Your theory sounds fine to me 40 you would have to be blind to not see the correlation between the asset markets and gold over the last five years, gold will not escape a deflation scare. On the other hand perhaps the weakness in gold is already predicting a deflationary outcome and we are not far from the bottom now. One things for sure gold will be early to sense a inflationary response from world CBs.
