The sunny side is the Mexican side and the Mexicanos would probably throw paint bombs onto it to spite DJT. Plus, being vertical would be extremely sub-optimal. The rule of thumb says that the best angle is about the same as the latitude, so around thirty degrees from horizontal along the border with Mexico would be the optimal angle, otherwise you are just throwing energy and money away.
