In ORE's case at the moment, I don't think it is a big deal if the plant stops operation for a short period. The plant is not operating at capacity in any case due to the pond imbalance issue. While the plant is not operating, the ponds will keep evaporating and producing new feedstock for the plant, and the plant will be able to catch up any lost production when new supplies of processing chemicals arrive.
So just a small delay in production. but no actual loss.
