Sorry if I offended you with my bank balance comment - was not intended. I am just trying to get across the point that you will be trying for a long time to work out how to predict how the market will act like you believe people can do.
Just look at who the most successful people in the investing world are and its plainly obvious.

OK, so if I could predict an exact market top, I would stop trading all together - get a massive margin loan, as put a second mortgage on my house, my parents house, my friends houses, their dogs etc - and short that day like you've ever seen it shorted.

Now although we all love putting in the Buys and Sells on a daily basis - if you KNEW that one day could make you a lot of money - why even BOTHER with the rest of it?

Why? Because people just TALK about knowing. And then they try to get everyone else to believe them so that it might have a chance of actually being true...which it never is.

Market analysts do that job everyday, its their job. On a whole, most are divided 50/50 on most subjects related to the stock directions.


So my aim is the trade the trends, with a basis on fundamentals for the stocks I choose to trade. I DO look at charts - all the time. In addition, I make sure that I am positioned so that my risk is far lower than my gain.

Anyway, we'll probably never agree - but lets try not to make all the other people out there think that you can actually crystal ball the market...
