Avemaria, everything seemed to have gone smoothly until CB came out with that bombshell putting the cat amongst the pigeons. All he managed to do was to cause infighting between us. A VERY VERY POOR and totally UNTIMED DECISION IMHO.
One would have though that the priorities should have been put ahead of someone's ego and/or personal interest. The first thing was to knock the SoA on the head and put it out of it's misery, and then starting to think about the Board Replacement.
After all, if we cannot kill the SoA there is no needs at all to have a Sect.249D voted upon and it will become null and void because MQG will be the new owner of CTP and it will decide who will be the one/ones running it.
In closing, even if we are to succeed with the No Vote, we cannot be sure that we can still be able to sack the Board. THAT is something which Haasko and a few others should consider before deciding to vote YES for the Scheme.
Now consider this, and so should the others which I mentioned above.
A) We might be able to knock the Scheme out of the equation because we only need 25% plus one vote of the total shares voted in the resolution under the second hurdle applicable to Scheme of Arrangements, and that is it...The SoA is then dead in the water.
B) But, and I repeat BUT, we will need 50% plus one vote to sack the BOD under Secty.249D, and that is not going to be very easy anymore because MB would not want the current BOD sacked, nor would any other large shareholders plus the Financial Institutions, let alone the shareholders which don't like a Board change juts for the sake of changing it. So while at this point in time I would like to see the whole board kicked out of the door for leading us to the situation we are finding ourselves in, I wouldn't put my life on it to succeed.
Now, can I ask Haasko and the other contrarians to reconsider what they shared with us in writing and vote with their head and not with their feet.??
Now Haasko, if I read that right, you weren't happy at all with the SoA as you stated it was undervalued. So have I convinced you to reconsider your position.??
