You're right: WTG have committed to returning cash to shareholders at the earliest opportunity. As I was at the AGM yesterday, its also clear that this will not be before the SGH claim is resolved (which we knew anyhow....so nothing new there). But is that really a problem?

We now have a company which is stripped of its junk (and PSD) and comprises opcos with legacy and new branding, new focus and clarity of purpose, newly launched software solutions (and business units in two cases) and which are either in profit or expected to be by the end of the year. So as they can not return cash, the next 2-3 years can finally focus on just building and growing the bsuinesses in order to perhaps attract higher prices in the future, once the claim is resolved, so that cash can be returned.

I do hope I won't come across as nasty if I say that it certainly appears that like me, you're not a lawyer, so I'm not sure that a wikipedia definition is going to hold sway in court. It's very important to try at least to consider both sides of the story, don't you think?

Which is why so much effort has been put into reviewing the SGH version of papers which were published by Winnifrith.....these have given out far more detail than was in the public versions available from the courts. I'm not yet convinced that SGH wanted that all out there.

Nevertheless, the old chap in a wig will decide what he thinks in a couple of years or so. We may as well sit back and try to enjoy the ride, don't you think?
