The irony here is Merkel voted against the law change as a so-called leftie as labelled on this forum, lol maybe because all the new age immigrants, as she likes to put it, she allowed into Germany (1 million additional people in Germany) would vote no for SSM so they needed a voice lol.
Anyway, lets just have a plebiscite here and get over the issue and put the onus back ontro the ALP, or just vote it in in Australia as it will get up IMO (albeit I would like the vote like Ireland had one so that the 'no' camp can see they are in the minority Australia wide whilst appearing in the majority in Hotcopper). One thing I agree with Pyne - ALP is playing politics and if the ALP were not such knobs the Pleb would have already happened and the law would have already changed. IMO
