You are correct. This has been discussed and stated ad nauseum over the past several weeks/months.
The last trading day for the options however is today, Fri 22nd June. So if you can't convert and need to sell, today is the LAST day.
And as Bello said, I'd send the form and cheque via registered or expressed post to ensure it doesn't get "lost" in the mail.
