I think someone above raised a very valid point earlier ... given 60% of cobalt comes from the DRC and the DRC is volatile then it follows that any supply shock in DRC (Sov risk, conflict/war, or disease/epidemic) could cause cobalt prices to sky rocket quickly. About a month ago I heard there was an outbreak of Ebola somewhere there ...but have not heard of anything since ...so perhaps they contained it early. But point is expect supply shocks at some point and given the exponential demand from new energy (Batteries) ...it is only going to get more critical IMHO
