There is already a huge supply of Lithium in the waste dumps from previous Tin mining although weathering could render it worthless. I can't see why a company Mining a resource worth trillions of dollars in Tin credits couldn't just store the Lithium (under cover) until the demand is there. The Chinese are good at buying cheap and storing commodities for future use. I think a low cost producer like AVZ will be the first port of call for any battery manufacturer as it will definitely produce cheaper than Australian companies that only have Lithium. Producing Tin as a main resource and having Lithium as a by product could even put a lot of Australian companies;that cannot keep their costs down, at risk in years to come if in fact there is an oversupply situation. I don't think time is against AVZ instead time is against pure Lithium plays. My take only and Australian companies like PLS do have the first to market advantage, for now.

Anyone who has any of these concerns in the short or near term has no understanding of the market change that is going on. Some people seem to think there is a cut-throat competitive market going on between producers but that position could not be further from the truth. The world will swallow every tonne of lithium without taking pause.
