"There is a reason why silicon is so great for solar cells. It is because it has only ONE element. CIGS is a four element compound. It is a lot more hard to make the exact composition of CIGS. One also needs to address issues associated with grain boundary, multiple layers and crystallinity. In physics, it's called a multiple body problem. It's not a problem that money can simply solve.

This is a huge "If". Good luck with CIGS.
