A patient can suffer for many years, as you have, with no way of knowing what to do to recover because currently there is no way of really knowing whether a patient is getting better. This is where the meb test is so valuable. But to think the meb test is a once off misunderstands the technology. The meb test can only measure whether one is depressed at the time the test is taken. Therefore it should be used often to see (i.e. measure) whether a particular treatment is working. By taking many measurements, a clinician can make better decisions regarding whether treatment should be changed or stay the same.
