The wife asked me this morning how the oil shares were going, she's pretty cruisy about it all. "Why worry, it's a long term thing anyway, it'll go back up" and "it sounds like these guys are experts and wouldn't put everything into it if there wasn't some chance". She's stated from day one that if it doesn't come off she doesn't care and that it's worth having punt on.

I still think the guys erred by not being cautious and flagging that a shut in WILL happen, by doing that they would've looked like miracle workers if it was one of the small percentage of wells that flowed without the extra work. The share price wouldn't have taken a beating, although it probably wouldn't have pumped to 6+c with people expecting flow rates by now.
