Warren Buffet's Berkshire Hathaway Geico Insurance collects a lot of premium upfront year after year, and pays out when claims are made. Over the years, the surplus cashflow is used to buy into other corporations including preferential shares + attached options in Goldman Sachs in the last GFC.
Not a bad policy.
