In order for truck drivers who own their own truck, they work the first day of every five for nothing except the maintenance of their vehicle. Even then, costs can be greater than 10 hours on their first day of work. Wear and tear on their vehicles, especially tyres, which are very costly, soon eat up the pay per hour. Depreciation of new/near new vehicles is very high indeed. Older vehicles are a hazard because they let drivers down and thus such drivers find no-one wants to employ them. $55 per hour???? Drivers need to work 50 hours plus on average every week of the year, for sure........

Are you saying 55 is it not enough ?
That's not owner driver that rate. That is turning up to work and driving for a 10 hour shift .
Not good enough for you ?
