I find it incredulous that from a "modest" holding of 13.2 million shares purchased between 31 May and 3 July, Allan Gray goes into a buying frenzy and over the space of (just) the next week ships in another 13 million shares. Taking their holding as at 11 July to just over 26 million shares, at an average price of $1.83

Then as luck would have it, just 3 days later PRG announce a they have received a takeover bid of $3.02 per share

The seemingly urgency with which Allan Gray stepped up their buying of shares (to my mind) warrants further examination by the authorities.
