Peer comes from the Latin par which means equal.

If you are trying to find an ‘equal’ to SAS, I wish you all the best. With respect, I don’t believe you will find one. Certainly not one listed on the ASX. Nor do I believe that you will find any other company of a similar ilk listed anywhere - globally.

Granted there are the likes of OneWeb and Iridium, but to me they are only similar because they are ‘space and communication’ orientated. That is their only similarity IMO. They are both extremely top heavy in management, staffing and overall operations. The associated costs of their operations infrastructure are massive compared to SAS. They may well provide some form of connectivity / broadband service but at what cost to the end user?

Iridium's fixed price contract with Thales Alenia Space provides for the construction of the originally planned 72 operational satellites and in-orbit spares, plus an additional nine ground spares, which provide greater risk mitigation with respect to the new constellation. As a result of the expanded scope of the project, the total cost of Iridium NEXT, including all costs associated with development, manufacture and launch of the constellation, is now anticipated to be approximately $2.9 billion.

That’s 20 x more than that of SAS make & deploy. Each of Iridium's satellites weight about 860kg and have a life expectancy of 15years whereas our light weight nanos will be retired after 2 years of service and replaced with new and smarter technology, keeping up with market improvements, added needs and demands.

SAS talks much about providing affordable voice & data communication and the benefits of connecting people anywhere, anytime. It is indeed a wonderful opportunity for those who currently have limited or no means to communicate.

However, the BIG thing as far as I am concerned is the massive impact that SAS will have on the rapid growth and deployment of the Internet of Things (IoT). The big guys in space will simply be priced out of this exponentially growing market IMO. Their fixation with massive data download for streaming video and on demand high speed internet is a great market for them. They can have their cake and eat it too for all I care. For me, SAS will be able to pig-out on the ‘icing on the cake’ and maximize their potential involvement in the enormous future P2P, M2M and IoT markets.

Sas has been my best earner this year.
I got out 4 weeks ago and very happy with my profit.
I am worried of all the shares in escrow that will hit the market very soon.
If the Directors was to place these shares in voluntary escrow then i might get back in.
Meaning deferring the escrow shares for 1 year or 2.

If they dont its telling me they going to cash in.

This is my opinion only.
