Wasabi Energy (WAS) will hold 18.6% of AVA if shareholders approve its buyout of Xtract's AVA shares (12.3m shares). The deal also includes technology transfer to WAS, and Xtract will own 40% of WAS's expanded shares (new share issue and options to be offered by WAS as part of the deal). WAS's $ stake in AVA has already grown some in recent times. Xtract's "advanced research" project may be of interest to AVA? Xtract since June 2007 owns Cambrian's former rights to technology to do with production of char/coke and other coal technologies. Read the WAS ASX anns for details.
