I think that plus the cgt timing cynically mentioned by Ronsteib covers the timing why.
Why are they selling at all? Well I think we need to recognise that they are partly paid in options, they progressively acquire, convert and sell these over the years. Both Hanc ock and Scott maintain very healthy exposure to success at either Kurnia or Gurame. Imo that is the important thing to remember.
Both will be very wealthy if we hit the Kurnia jackpot.
