It would be the sane thing to do , put family first , however surprised he has not retained a board seat , surely that would have not been too onerous , 8 meetings a year and some mentoring , plus retain hard won contacts on a personal level , so also retaining interests outside the family , guessing there is more to this than is being let on, maybe him and family intends to return to Oz , suspect a fall in the share price but then I am buying this currently so I would say that .
I do have a lot of faith in Gavin and Dr bob and appreciate Nick for putting in place a sound succession plan and wish him the very best - one can only imagine how hard it must have been for him this last year
