A bid by CNOOC for WPL would be interesting.
CNOOC would need to negotiate compo for FAR first e.g. an extra % of SNE or cash or both?
PE issue goes away. COP are off the hook (maybe after making a contribution)
CNOOC/WPL become operators of SNE.
CNOOC could even relieve CNE of some of their 40% at a price acceptable to CNE.
What a fascinating ride!!
If SNE N1 comes in - hold onto your hats!!
