The more I think about it, the more I believe that the major shareholders don't want the share price to increase. How better can they increase their 85% total holding? This is well inside their brief to look after shareholder interests. It is a level playing field so you and I (the 15%) can buy at the same price as they can with one big difference, viz., they are more likely to be buyers than are Mums and Dads.
This has always been a good time for the major cashed up shareholders, during development and early production.
The easiest way to keep the SP low (and in this case there is no chance of a lowball takeover) is not to promote the company. All above board and according to ASX rules.
If you have cash, buy what you can and of course the more you are prepared to pay the more you can get. It is going to be hard to get out of single digits if there is no promotion, one reason being that anyone (like a Fund) will not buy because they can't establish a solid position.
