Good question & certainly one that has as many valid answers as there are shareholders... haven't met targets, AISC's, grades down etc. etc. are all valid & pertinent complaints, but for my 2c worth, lack of sentiment & understanding of what gold really represents (particularly in the Western sphere) is the largest negative for this sector, which generally remains subdued as opposed to the minor euphoria a year ago.... but my money says it will bounce back once POG shackles are finally released.....and then some...
The value here for me is their resources still in the ground. My opinion why? I'll put in another post as I'll need to track down some research.
Meantime, (for info or laughs) Sentiment can also lead to some (a Herd??) to invest in such as Tesla!!!
At 61B, Tesla passed GM and Ford by market cap, now ranks 4th in the world behind Toyota, Daimler, Volkswagen. Tesla sold worldwide 76,285k cars in 2016 compared to
10+ million GM
6.65 m. Ford
2.36 m. BMW.
Probably best summed up in a word by Homer Simpson......... "DOH"
