On most markets of developed nations, 99% of ASX listed companies would not be on the main board...they would be OTC or have some secondary listing because the quality is so poor and the market caps so low
So in Australia, you have 99% of the market not available to any sort of institutional investment and these companies are solely the domain of traders
So there are a small amount of investment grade companies which institutions buy and sell to each other every day and this is the extent of the Funds Management industry in this country
