Is FAR saying that the Senegal courts have no jurisdiction over Senegal offshore oil exploration leases and the exploration related transactions? Interesting.....
Article 1 of the Senegal Oil Code says
Article 66 Says
All violations of the applicable laws and regulations fall under the jurisdiction of the courts of law of the Republic of Senegal.
Article 67 Says
The holders of conventions or service contracts are subject to the laws and regulations of the Republic of Senegal.
IMO seismic surveys are prospecting/exploration, the courts of Senegal have jurisdiction over fiscal issues pertaining to that activity....
But trained legal teams will need to consume millions in cash to give you the final answer......
