    In polite circles it's considered vulgar to talk about one's personal finances in public. Good old fashioned etiquette. I think you'll find people are less inclined to abuse you if you follow that simple rule. If not then they will probably to stick with the impression (rightly or wrongly) that you are vulgar pr@t.
