Coincidence - perhaps?
I have a question for the corporatey types on the forum. If for arguments sake an entity (let's use WPL as a hypothetical example) acquired around 15% of another company (lets use FAR as a hypothetical example) through a holding or nominee company (let's use HSBC as a hypothetical example), is there an obligation on the chairman of FAR to appoint a representative (hypothetically someone who has had close ties to WPL in the past) of the 15% shareholding company to the board? If this is the case is there a nominal level at which this must occur or is that something which would be covered in the companies' constitution?
